The role of the Outside Sales – Territory Manager is to strategically and profitably grow Coastal’s business in the assigned territory by introducing key products and / or programs designed to increase Coastal’s footprint. Utilizing a consultative approach to differentiate Coastal from the competition, the Outside Sales Territory Manager will be responsible to educate both customers and prospects by articulating Coastal’s value-added proposition through trainings and presentations. This position covers the state of Vermont and requires in person visits to customers.
Job Responsibilities
Identifies and closes opportunities within existing key target customers.
Introduces new products and constructs program sales with stocking dealers.
Understands market competitors and determines best practices for program conversions.
Builds collaborative business relationships with owners / buyers / outside sales / inside sales.
Maintains professional and technical knowledge through educational workshops, etc.
Resolves customer complaints by investigating problems and presenting solutions.
Works closely with Insides Sales and Operations to ensure a seamless customer experience.
Communicates price changes effectively and manages claim’s process within territory.
Maintains high customer satisfaction and ensures information is provided according to timelines.
Required Qualifications & Experience
3 – 5 years’ prior experience
Proven sales track record
Market understanding proficiency
Goal-oriented and self-motivated
Strong sales, communication and negotiation skills
Cooperative and collaborative team player
Relationship driven and solution focused
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
Legally permitted to work in the United States
Physical Conditions
Able to lift or move objects up to 50 lbs.
Able to sit for extended periods of time.
Education
College degree or equivalent job related work experience
